- Why China Care: Chinese orphans have always had a special place in my heart. After travelling to China and seeing the desolate conditions in the villages there, I became even more passionate to make a difference in these children's lives. I found in China Care Bruins the perfect opportunity to turn this desire into action!
- Fun Fact: I can sleep through almost anything.

- Why China Care: I was born in China and grew up there till I was thirteen. Whenever I see or hear things about China, I feel so attached to them. China Care Bruins is the kind of organizations that I’ve been looking for, because I really want to do something for my mother country. I also want to try my best to teach the kids some Chinese culture and the Chinese language.
- Fun Fact: I love music! My dog and my cat live peacefully together. :)

- Why China Care: The sheer number of clubs here in UCLA can be daunting to any student seeking to be a part of an organization. Fortunately, joining China Care was an easy choice for me, because this club offers something that very few clubs on campus can claim: a chance to shape the life of an adopted child. This unique opportunity is what motivated me to actively participate in this club, and ever since I joined, my eyes have been opened to see the needs of the adoption community in the U.S. and the situation of the orphanages in China.
- Fun Fact: I'm addicted to CHEEEEZZE!

- Why China Care: Since participating in the mentorship program with China Care as an entering freshman, I was immediately drawn to China Care’s message of making a difference in the lives of young Chinese orphans. I seek to continue to nurture and advocate for positive change in the health and well-being of orphans in China and other third-world nations. I hope to also serve as an active member of the broader international community to bring awareness of the social and health-related issues that families from developing countries experience.

- Why China Care: Very simple, I love kids, I love China, and put together there is just love, love, love. I hope with my participation in China Care, I can truly send this love out to the children of China. I have high hopes for what we will acheive this year in terms of fundraising and I know that all of us here at UCLA China Care Bruins will have a great and successful year.

- Why China Care: This has already been my third year in China Care Bruins and it is the only club that I feel that actually makes a difference in a child's life. I've known my little buddy for three years now and I've grown to love her and her family as much I love mine. She is the most adorable and intelligent girl that I have ever known for so long. To see her grow as each month and as each year passes is truly amazing. And of course, being a part of China Care Bruins really make me feel capable of making a difference and such knowledge is even more personified when I get to see the pictures of healthy children whose surgeries we have sponsored.
- Fun Fact: I used to sleep walk and sleep talk, but now I only sleep talk. I tend to get my dreams and the reality mixed up, especially when I'm sleep-talking.

- Why China Care: I love kids! They brighten up my day and this club has so much potential since it is still fairly young. I have thoroughly enjoyed my first year as a mentor and look forward to even more excitement this year! (Thank you Trang for introducing me to China Care!)
- Fun Fact: I have a cat named Momo who I love but he has a tendency to bite people like a dog (sometimes).

- Why China Care: China Care gives me the opportunity to volunteer my time to make a difference in the lives of children in America and China. As one of the fundraising coordinators, I experience first-hand the fulfillment and joy of raising funds to help Chinese orphans with surgeries and basic supplies. Also, interacting with the little buddies just shows how much you can make a difference in one person's life.
- Fun Fact: I can fall asleep anywhere, anytime, any position, no matter how loud or distracting the surroundings are - voluntarily and involuntarily. It's a gift and curse at the same time.

- Fundraising Secretary: Jane Sha
- Hometown: Castro Valley, California
- Year: 3rd
- Area of Study: Economics/Accounting
- Why China Care: I joined China Care because I wanted to be more involved with my community. I was born in China but grew up in America. I now know how important it is to understand the Chinese culture even though I was raised in America. Being able to share some of this with the kids is just amazing because it feels good to know that we are positively impacting their lives by teaching them a little bit about where they come from. It's also such a great experience to be able to bring back childhood once again when we play with them and hear their laughter.
- Fun Fact: People say I eat my cereal weird. I pour the milk first, then pour the cereal on little by little. This is to avoid soggy cereal! I like my cereal crunchy, as most people should -- thus this is totally the normal way of eating cereal!
