- Why China Care: Chinese orphans have always had a special place in my heart. After travelling to China and seeing the desolate conditions in the villages there, I became even more passionate to make a difference in these children's lives. I found in China Care Bruins the perfect opportunity to turn this desire into action!
- Fun Fact: I can sleep through almost anything.

- Why China Care: During my sophomore year in college, I became interested in studying Chinese law and language. A year later, in 2005, I spent the summer studying Chinese in Beijing. There, I witnessed first hand the unfortunate living conditions of some of the children. When I came back home, this image remained with me and later motivated me to volunteer with China Care Bruins. Our goals are to raise funds to improve the lives of the children in the orphanages, and for the ones that have been adopted we hold social events to maintain the bonds with their native culture. I have decided to participate in China Care because I believe that it is making a difference in the lives those most vulnerable. Children are the future of this world, and it is important that we invest in them to ensure that their basic needs are fulfilled.

- Why China Care: Since participating in the mentorship program with China Care as an entering freshman, I was immediately drawn to China Care’s message of making a difference in the lives of young Chinese orphans. I seek to continue to nurture and advocate for positive change in the health and well-being of orphans in China and other third-world nations. I hope to also serve as an active member of the broader international community to bring awareness of the social and health-related issues that families from developing countries experience.

- Why China Care: The sheer number of clubs here in UCLA can be daunting to any student seeking to be a part of an organization. Fortunately, joining China Care was an easy choice for me, because this club offers something that very few clubs on campus can claim: a chance to shape the life of an adopted child. This unique opportunity is what motivated me to actively participate in this club, and ever since I joined, my eyes have been opened to see the needs of the adoption community in the U.S. and the situation of the orphanages in China.
- Fun Fact: Besides going to school, I'm also a part-time dancer. Check out my video on Youtube.
